This series is presented by the Department of Management and the Center for Executive and Professional Development in the Spears School of Business at Oklahoma State University.
?Training and Development? will be led by Tom Stone, professor in the Department of Management in the Spears School of Business. The webinar will take place Tuesday, Nov. 13, from noon to 1:15 p.m. Stone will share why training is a major source of competitive advantage. Needs assessment, learning objectives, selecting training methods, transfer of learning and training evaluation are all examples of topics that will be discussed.
Bryan Edwards, associate professor in the Department of Management, will present ?Succession Planning: Transferring Knowledge and Skills to the Younger Generation.? The webinar will take place on Wednesday, Dec. 5, from noon to 1:15 p.m. In this session, Edwards will discuss how to develop an effective succession plan to fill the knowledge gap left by turnover of experienced employees to new professionals, and prepare for the future.
The webinars last one hour with 15-minute question-and-answer sessions. The sessions are pre-approved for HRCI credit.
